Scope and Contents
This collection is composed primarily of correspondence, as well as budget records, grant proposals, incident reports, meeting notes, floorplans and blueprints, and event invitations. The collection documents the activities of Assistant Director of the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum, Leon "Lee" Arnold from 191970-1986 and incldues correspondence regarding establishment of the African American Museum, specimen loans, capital building projects and Museum maintenance, the George C. Page Museum, Proposition 13 (Jarvis-Gann Initiative), and exhibitions development.
